Unwell
a quick medical update. This will be short because I cannot handle looking at the computer.
I had IVIG infusion this last Friday. It was a long day. They had forgotten to order my stuff so we waited a little while. However, the actual infusion went well. Last week I felt like I was coming down with a cold. At times it felt like an ordinary cold with some headaches and I felt a bit flat but was generally still able to function. Because IVIG is immunity and the reaction is flu type symptoms, overnight my cold became fluey and I feel awful. Now I can't tell if my cold got real bad because I am waking every morning coughing, nose running and blocked, headaches and stiff necks and all sorts......my whole body aches. Although some of these symptoms can be IVIG alone. I feel like I have a double dose! I feel pretty bad to be truthful. I am having trouble getting myself in the shower and so on because I am also nauseated. SO please pray that this passes quickly....this cold and stuff....my platelets did a drop and who knows if that is related to the cold......doesn't usually happen with a simple cold but ...hmmm
I have an appointment with my gynae today just for a check up.
Oh I have been brave. I am seeing a surgeon about a port on the 2nd December and having it in on the 8th. I will be having it in my abdomen and it is under the skin. When I feel up to it, I will explain more :-)

Isaac's 6th birthday - part 2
well a week after Isaac's b-day party on the 1st November was his actual 6th birthday on the 8th of November. Alan and I gave him a new bike. Now I got confused with my lay out here on Blogger and it is late so excuse how it is all laid out here. I thought I would post a couple of pictures here with his new bike. Isn't it cute? Isaac looking sweet with his new bike. Happy Birthday Isaac!
It has been a little while since I posted. I have a lot to post but will do it in sections. I wanted to post the second part of Isaac's birthday! I got permission from the mums to put up these little videos from his birthday party 2 weeks ago. Remember Alan made those sailing boats for each child and they did egg races out in the park. They had to make sure their egg didn't fall out of their crow's nest on top of their mast. There is one video where a child lost their egg but it has one child in it that I was not able to get hold of their mum or dad to check if I could put it up here so I will put these two up and I know are ok. I think they are amusing videos and cute. In one of them, a child is being SO careful and "sailing" SO slow because he doesn't want to lose his egg. It was very amusing. I think you may need t double click but check out these videos below!!!!
So those are cute. As I mentioned, Isaac's birthday party was a week before his birthday. I have some more video from his actual birthday on the 8th of November. We had to do his party early because one of his friends also had his birtday the 8th and their party. Also the Christmas Pageant was the morning of Isaac's actual birthday and we went to that.....I will get to that with many pictures and videos in the next post.
As I mentioned before, Isaac got a new BMX bike with training wheels for his birthday from Alan and I on the actual day. It is the smaller bike because the next one up was way too big for him and he would not have ridden it. He is cute.....so here is some video footage of Isaac trying out his new bike with training wheels. A little nervous at first but he got heaps better throughout the afternoon. We went to the rose garden near our house where there is a tunnel that goes under a main road. The paths there were perfect for Isaac to practise riding his new bike. Check out the videos below....so cut
Anyway, that is it for now. I have some medical things to update on as well but will need to do that later. SO keep checking back for the medical update, the update on the Christmas Pageant and more.
Love ya all,
Charisse

Isaac's 6th Birthday - Part One
well Isaac's 6th birthday party was a big success! He turns 6 on the 8th of November but because he has a couple of friends whose birthdays are the same day and the day after, we decided to do his party one week early. We have never done a party like this before so it was our first time! The theme was a "Captain's Party" like Captain Cook who sailed the many seas and discovered Australia......a brief history lesson.......that type of captian. We had many fun things. The kids were supposed to come dressed as a crew member or officer. There were some good outfits and it was exciting. I think the two Isaacs had GREAT costumes........here is our Isaac below in his Captain's outfit. We bought it from Spotlight in case anyone was wondering :-) Here he is saying, "I want YOU" which was on his invitation........cute Here is Isaac's Birthday Cake. We got the receipe off of a website that was on Teresa Clifton's blog and she got it off her sister, Becca who made this pirate cake for their son I understand. It was cute and because our theme was not a pirate theme we made it look like a normal sailing ship. Both Alan and I did the cake together. Yes, Brooke, it was as yummy as what it looks! Ha!
Isaac opening presents! He was very excited. I got some pictures of him with each child but need to check with their mums if I can post those photos!
Cathy is a dear friend. We have been friends for a long time. She is aware I am posting and was cool with it :-) In this photo is her son, Isaac. I attended the birth of Isaac and so he is like my "baby" as well. He is 7 but not a full year older than our Isaac. We are all very good friends. I thought his outfit was great....so this is my Isaac and her Isaac....the two Isaacs! Ha!
Hmmmm........my pictures are out of order. We actually did the cake at the end of the party....hey it is late and I am not concentrating as well. Here Isaac is blowing out his candles which was tough since they were sticking out of the cannons on the sides!
See...our of order. Isaac looking proud and yet modest while we sing "Happy Birthday" to him. He is so sweet.....
Ok, this was our first activity......the treasure hunt. Each child had a treasure bag and we had hidden treasure throughout our back yard. Alan is instructing them on the treasure hunt.
What has everyone found? Making sure that everyone had an equal amount of stuff! Want to be fair!
Other Isaac in his outfit!
refreshments!
Walking down the street to the park!
Walking to the park
Walking down the street....hehe
Saluting on the way..hehe
Isaac in his boat waiting for the games to begin.
All lined up for the egg race.
So we had an egg race. They had to carry an egg in their crow's nest that Alan made at the top of their mast. They had to race down the grass, around a tree, and back to their spot without the egg popping out. It was really funny watching the kids do this. I have video footage but need to check with the parents about posting it....so hopefully next post I can have that here for you....hehe
So yes, it was lots of fun and the egg races were hilarious! I will check with the mums about posting the video and some other photos that are more close up of some children with Isaac. Otherwise, Isaac was exhausted and all the kids were happy and excited. I got a thrill seeing them all enjoy themselves so much. Thank you to everyone who came!!!!!!
